He came to the United States and worked as a janitor at the World Trade Center — steady job, honest man. When an emergency hit, every bank said no. So he turned to a susu circle: friends and neighbors who pooled their trust, took turns, and got each other through. No interest. No credit check. Just community.

That experience laid the foundation for everything Susu Lend represents today.
