Mariana Zubieta

Mariana Zubieta brings more than 15 years of experience in the Mexican financial sector, with a decade focused specifically on alternative investments in the pension fund system. In 2017 she joined Afore XXI Banorte — the largest and most awarded pension fund in Latin America — where she serves on several technical committees and maintains active investor relationships across a diverse portfolio of General Partners.

She has committed more than $7 billion to local investment structures across Private Equity and Real Estate — a track record that speaks to both the scale of her experience and the rigor of her judgment. Prior to Afore XXI Banorte, she was part of the investments team at Pensionissste, a public pension fund in Mexico, where she focused on investment strategies to foster Mexican infrastructure, energy, and real estate.

Mariana holds a B.S. in Economics from Universidad Iberoamericana and an MBA from Cornell University's S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management.
